Shopping in Rome

Rome is also a shopping capital, offering a choice whose level matches the World's best shopping destinations. If you come over here you're bound to go shopping in the famous "Tridente" (trident route): the three very popular streets (via del Babuino, via del Corso and via di Ripetta) which depart from piazza del Popolo and lead you to cross the elegant via Condotti, dominated by Trinità dei Monti and the Spanish steps. In this prestigious area of the historical centre you'll find hundreds of shops where to buy anything... from brand clothing to leather accessories and beauty products! Talking about the most important fashion firms, you can find renowned designer labels, from Armani to Valentino, from Missoni to Versace... to whom, instead, is interested in CD's or books we suggest to take a look at Ricordi's in via del Corso and Feltrinelli's in the Alberto Sordi's Gallery, whereas lovers of antiques will be able to find what they search for in via Margutta and via del Babuino!

You can reach piazza del Popolo through via Cola di Rienzo as well, a street full of shops for all tastes and budgets, ideal connection with piazza Risorgimento, which is located at few steps from Saint Peter's Basilica and via Ottaviano, a car free zone for shopping.

For lovers of stalls, antiques or eccentric products the historical market of Porta Portese and the "Mercato delle Stampe", where you can search for old magazines and books, are a must-see!

In the popular area of San Giovanni, crossing piazza Re di Roma, you can walk along the shopping boulevard of via Appia, perfectly serviced by Metro A.

Rome is not lacking of big shopping malls (more coming) where you can get lost, due to the wide range of offer. If you haven't had time yet to buy anything, remember that within and near the Termini Station there are shops of all kind!
